Daniel Vosotas, CHA
Chairman/Chief Executive Officer
Daniel Vosotas purchased his first hotel in 1980 and founded Trans Inns Management in 1984. Trans Inns specializes in the management and development of full and select service hotels, as well as extended stay hospitality real estate.
Trans Inns is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with offices in Brooklyn, New York and Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The company's history includes over 60 properties across the US, representing over $700 million of hospitality real estate acquisition and development, and over $150 million in renovation projects. Trans Inns manages all properties in which it has an interest. Mr. Vosotas actively directs all aspects of the company including property and asset management, acquisitions and dispositions, ongoing operations and corporate development
Mr. Vosotas holds a BS from Wayne State University and CHA (Certified Hotel Administrator) designation through Michigan State University School of Hospitality Business. He has also served on numerous boards and committees over the course of his career.
James Vosotas, CFA
President/Chief Operating Officer
James rejoined Trans Inns in 2009 to refocus the company's strategic positioning, financial structure, and growth strategy to take advantage of market and industry conditions that resulted in co-founding VOS Hospitality, the lifestyle/boutique division of Trans Inns, with Daniel in 2012.
Previously, James worked at Citigroup's investment bank for +5 years in their Commercial Real Estate Capital Markets group in Manhattan, NY where he focused on commercial real estate debt origination, syndication, M&A advisory, private equity capital raising, and Fixed Income securitization. He has structured over $13 billion of real estate securities, underwritten and originated over $2 billion in commercial real estate mortgage and mezzanine financings, and advised on over $10 billion of M&A transactions since 2004. James also has almost a decade of hands on experience growing up in the hospitality business working for Trans Inns in various operational capacities at both the property and corporate level through high school and college.
James holds a BS in mathematics and economics with honors from the University of Michigan and is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Maureen Nulty, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Maureen has supervised the corporate accounting and financial departments for Trans Inns since 2003. Her background includes extensive experience in corporate tax, real estate transactions, and valuations.
Maureen has over 14 years as a partner with Cendrowski Selecky, PC, a CPA firm specializing in real estate tax and transaction structuring, business valuations and litigation support. Prior to Cendrowski, Maureen was a Principal in the tax department at Ernst & Young. During her 13 years with E&Y, she served as the National Office Tax Resident in their New York headquarters as well as instructed national educational programs and seminars. Her industry concentrations included real estate and franchised communications.
Maureen earned her BBA degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Accredited Business Valuator, and belongs to both national and state CPA and valuation organizations. She continues to conduct education seminars and author articles for distribution in business publications.
Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Harold is an experienced sales professional with over 19 years in leadership and a proven track record in delivering market leading returns to owners and investors. His approach and strategic planning combined by strong sales acumen has allowed his teams to adopt in changing economic climates and defeat the competition.
While Area Director of Sales & Marketing for TPG Hospitality, Harold led the sales efforts in the South Florida market with the Westin and Marriott brands. As a sales leader for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Harold’s background includes brand experience with Sheraton, Westin and W Hotels. He also supported in the design, sponsoring, and implementation of several hotel sales projects totaling over $400 million in annual revenue.
Succeeding in market share and top line revenue growth from Boston, Stamford, Atlanta and South Florida, Harold each year has consistently achieved recognition in categories such as Rev Par Growth, ADR Index Growth, and Top Sales Team. A subject matter expert in hospitality sales, Harold complements his knowledge with a certification in Six Sigma project management. Harold has a high focus on EQ or emotional intelligence to garner support, collaborate and execute with distinction.
In his role as Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Harold is responsible for the development of talent, execution of strategy and the delivery of exceptional revenue growth to our partners. Harold will also lead in the launch of our new openings and lifestyle brand, VOS Hospitality a division of Trans Inns Management, Inc.
Harold found his passion in Economics at Seton Hall University with a minor in Japanese.
Vice President of Revenue Management
Debbie brings over 28 years of knowledge & experience from all sectors of the hospitality industry. Her primary focus on our corporate executive team is in the discipline of revenue management where she assists our property level leadership in striving to achieve the optimal business mix for our diverse portfolio of hotels.
Debbie first started as a General Manager working for Marriott, Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn & Hampton Inn. Debbie later joined Choice Hotels International where she was the Franchise Service Director for over 50 properties. After creating a management & marketing company, Debbie then joined Champion Hotel Management & Development Company where she led revenue management for over 20 hotels including Marriott, Choice, Hilton, Wyndham & Best Western.
Debbie is a Certified Hotel Administrator & graduate from the Singapore Hotel School.
