Maintenance Manager

Job Description: Trans Inns Management is a 30 year old hospitality management company representing brands such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG and Starwood. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager. This exciting but demanding position will be responsible for all aspects of hotel maintenance, including public space, guest rooms, kitchen and outlets, hotel equipment, preventive-maintenance programs, HVAC, plumbing and electrical.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
  • Supervise the day to day operations of Engineering.
  • Review and assign work related activities
  • Establish and manage an effective rooms maintenance program
  • Interface with other department heads on work priorities and activities.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance and engineering programs.
  • Plan, develop and implement procedures to improve operations.
  • Review production, quality control, and maintenance and engineering reports and statistics to plan and modify activities.
  • Direct training and development of staff.
  • Interact with General/Sub Contractors overseeing projects from inception to completion.
  • Comply with all regulatory agencies' requirements to maintain required permits and/or licenses.
  • Maintain requisition of tools, equipment and supplies.
  • Perform similar and related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain and operate equipment at optimum effectiveness, efficiency and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all Engineering departmental policies, standards and procedures.
  • Manage department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.

  • Must have previous Maintenance Management experience in full-service hotel.
  • Must have advanced working knowledge of all aspects of hotel maintenance.
  • Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry
  • Flexibility with work hours and work schedules
  • Experience with computers and basic software for email, word processing and spreadsheets
  • Must be a self-starter and driven to perform at high standards
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exception detail to follow-up
  • Must be a citizen of the United States or possess a valid work permit
